It's like a bunch of church of england vicars going toe to toe with episcopalians- i can't see it myself

      Utterly bizzare.

then again when we used to have widespread football related violence the fans would fight amongst htemselves if the other teams fans didn't turn up.

Maybe they were waiting for some Roman Catholicas and they didn't show

So stupid, it´s funny. Personally i wouldnt mind, if they´d all get a tomb all on their own...

Seriously: What kind of a monk is it, who beats people (if he´s not shaolin) ? Esp. when that other person is a monk, too, believing basically the same thing ? I usually have high respect for monks, but if one raises the hand, cause he cant keep his emotions (of a kind he shoudlnt even feel, ideally) under control, he ceases being a monk in my eyes, never was one, but is just a scumbag pretending and a disgrace to his faith. He becomes one of a kind with hooligans and should seriously reconsider, if he is a worthy servent to his Lord.

EDIT: Crosspost with the Stinger reveals that both of us share the same association here: Hooligans. And what do soccer clubs do with hools these days ? They get banned from the stadion, since they are regarded unwanted and a disgrace to their clubs.

Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but Armenian Orthodox fully broke with Eastern Orthodox waaaaaay back at the Council of Chalcedon's ban of monophysitism. They aren't monophysite per se, but their doctrine is some sort of offshoot from monophysitism which wasn't allowed by Chalcedon, so it's unsurprising that there would have been bad blood ever since.
          Unbelievable!

I think that the Colosseum in Rome needs to re-open... this time monks vs monks with neutral Buddhist refs...

it would sell well I bet

I have to admit. It is refresshing to see violence in Jerusalem which does not involve Jews or Muslims!

Does this mean the intafada is over? Will the Palestinians and Israelis have to send peacekeepers to stop these violent christian tribes from fighting each other?

Except for the fact that there were no Eastern Orthodox back then, it works perfectly.

                      They broke with the Catholics.

That really doesn't make sense as there wasn't a patriarch of Constantinople until after Nicaea, whereas there have always been Bishops of Rome.

Much of the success of Islam has to be due to the fact that there were many feuds between Jews and Christians. Islam, going back to the so called 'roots', appealed to many, including the Christians and to a lesser degree the Jews who happened to get tired at the time of the incessant struggle with the infidels

it is about denominations, not religions.
Anyway, dumb Greek-orthodox. Armenians were right. Greek monks were always a problem.
