I actually voted FOR Calif. #2, the banning mistreatment of farm animals. In restrospect, I wish I hadn't.
It's a good law, but it should have been passed by the Legislature, not by the citizenry. I'm getting tired of people turning to the initiative process for every little thing.

If the tax one passes in Massachussets then the voters are going to get a big surprise when State government has to make deep DEEP cuts to services.
I generally think ballot iniciatives are a bad idea. Most voters do not take the time to study the issues.
