I'd have to be the lamest person in the entire world to fake a post on Apolyton. And as I've seen, there are plenty of people here way lamer than me.

            Arizona:

Research 2000. 10/28-30. Likely voters. MoE 4% (No trend lines)

            McCain (R) 48
            Obama (D) 47

Early voters (17 percent of sample)

            McCain (R) 42
            Obama (D) 54

If the 2010 election for U.S. Senate were held today for whom would you vote for if the choices were between Janet Napolitano the Democrat and John McCain the Republican?

            McCain (R) 45
            Napolitano (D) 53

Lest anyone think that the AZ polls aren't being taken seriously... McCain is going to campaign in Arizona on Monday.

Let me say that again: John McCain is going to have to campaign in his home state on Monday. Instead of being in FL, or OH, or PA, or VA, or NC, he'll be campaigning in Arizona.

Toast doesn't even begin to describe McCain at this point.

You post here, which immediately lends such accusations credibility.

Then Bush got "elected" in 2000 pledging to shrink the size of the federal government. He didn't. Then the GOP took control of the whole flipping government from 2002-2006; the federal government grew to awesome new proportions.

                    So?

Well, if Obama is elected, it will likely be because Virginia went Democrat for the first time in more than half a century. And if Virginia goes Democrat, it will be because of a massively disproportionate number of Democratic votes in Northern Virginia -- an area whose large and growing population is almost wholly dependent upon the ever-swelling federal bureaucracy.

Memo to the GOP: next time, a little more follow-through might help you guys out.
Personally I'm very deeply bothered with the repugs because of this as are any sane fiscal conservatives. Likely this will cost McCain the election. The not so funny thing is that McCain might be a different enough breed of repug cat to get the job done.

                    Might be too late though.

He has shown this election cycle that he isn't a different breed of repug cat... at least not now.

And I don't really how anyone can say that the repugs are the fiscal conservative group because they haven't been in the last 28 years.

It appears that we'll soon learn how fiscally conservative the democrats under Obama are.

They don't say that they will be fiscally conservative. They do say that they will spend money on other things than Republicans do, and that they will tax more so that the government doesn't go more into debt.

Actually Obama has said he will spend the same just have different priorities. (i.e. Every program he has he makes a corresponding cut. And every tax cut he gives he's gonna fund it with more taxes on the upper class)

If he does that, he will be more fiscally conservative than the republicans.

Well, if he uses the exact same revenues and has the exact same expenses wouldn't he be exactly as fiscally conservative or unconservative? Which means he would run the same deficit too.
