The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.
Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
We should promote an annual stop by day. Like maybe the day after Christmas or Thanksgiving. If you drift away over the years you try to stop by that day. Wouldn't that be cool to stop in and everybody you were friends with all those years ago does the same?

That would be a nice idea actually. Everyone still here who volunteers to contribute PMs and Emails about 10 different names, sends them a canned invitation (about 400 words long- just saying hang out for a day or two and we're inviting x, y, z... just for old times sake- a sort of Apolyton Class Reunion 2008 ]

I wonder if we could have certain activities and things to draw them here (even for only a day) other than merely chatting?
- One, obviously, could be the Dec 2008 Hall of Fame Round?
anything else?
- Word association? (The Apolyton Bar?)
- Remind them that now OT posts count
- Reminiscences Central? People post how they've changed in 10 years? ("You'd never guess this but I'm....") like the revelations about History049 here, and Monk, and several others... Sort of a "This is Your Life?"
ex. "In 1998 when I joined, I was THIS... Then X happened, now I'm THAT." If people want to share.

That's actually a neat idea, assuming somebody could find those lost souls and persuade them to drop by. I'd suggest New Year's Day because nobody is doing anything else that day anyway.
Also, for nostalgic reasons - the hangover might be strong enough for the (edit: at least the non-British) Europeans to type like they were 15 again ...

Heck... just turn Apolyton into Counterglow's OT for the day .
Frankly, I don't think it'd be hard to get in contact with people . Every now and then I'll send an email to a few people I've been out of touch with. If you give people about a month and a half warning (no more and possibly less-like 2 weeks notice... I'm sure you'll get visitors)

Monk, yes I was wondering when you'd post on this thread. Where in Scanadavia are you? I wish very much to visit Scandanavia. It seems like much fun for dark featured American to visit and stand out.
Wow, yes, Starchild. I hardly remember a thing about him (or her?) but I rememer s/he really intrigues me. Please come back Starchild, I want to remember all our times together, because I don't at all. Does that mean nothing ever happened between us? Now I'm thinking Ineed to research his/her old posts.
I remember Sir David also, good European guy, only of the few conservative europeans.
Felch = Felch X? My PM box history indicates we've chatted a lot, but I don't remember what about.
And visiting scandanavia will be easy for you... Almost all Norwegians at least who are born after 1960 speak English.
Re: Starchild... I'd be surprised if you didn't butt heads. If I remember correctly, Starchild was the first poster on apolyton to come out of the closet and was also amazingly liberal.

Well, anybody in Schønadanavia will appreciate your stay.
Don't expect to be treated too much like a freak though. We have actually seen dark haired people before, maybe once or twice a year. The most daring of us have met a number of Americans and lived to tell.
Norwegian and British babies are generally fat and "fuller" whereas many Americans give birth to thinner babies.
So bring a thin American baby and expect to be swarmed by old Scandanavian women marveling at how the thing can survive (!) (At least this was the case in the late 1980s).
