"When the whites encountered the savages, the savages inquired as to what the whites wanted from them"

      in Danish is:

Da de hvide kom til de vilde ville de vilde vide hvad de hvide ville de vilde.

That one is actually much better spoken than just in writing (hvide + vide and vilde + ville are pronounced exactly alike).

        Far, får får får?
Får får inte får, får får lamm!

Public service announcement; translated it means:

"Dad, do sheep bring forth sheep?

Sheep do not bring forth sheep, sheep bring forth lamb!"

Would work even better with granddad (Farfar).

I heard this a few years ago, on rehearsing a piece of music in Hungarian. Someone asked an Hungarian native speaker how to pronounce the lyrics and told it to the choir.

          A: Hmm. Sounds like Danish.
B: Every language you don't know sounds like Danish.
Why doing it the easy way if it is possible to do it complicated?

That's a good pun on 'father'.

If you wanted to do that in English, it would be:

              Father, do sheep father sheep?

Sheep do not father sheep, sheep father lambs!

Yeah, if that was a part of the test, there wouldn't be any need of the 24 year rule
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

And never to be eaten raw (rå)!

                              ---

Well, near Helsingborg there's a fishing hamlet called Råå. The eels (ål) you get from there are, of course, Rååål.

Now, up until 1948 when "å" was introduced into the Danish language, "aa" was used in its place, as we all know. So Rååål were called Raaaaaal when traded in Denmark.
