Cramer is a hoot. He's a nut, but funny. That "rant" they were talking about wasn't Cramer talking about what was going to happen now... or because of F&F... or anything liek that. It was what Cramer was saying was going to happen back then if the Fed didn't cut rates. And guess what? The Fed cut rates.

All it really accomplished was to send the $ into the crapper. I wonder if Cramer is pushing to cut rates again or something? He's probably short the dollar if so.

Deregulation permitted lending institutions like Countrywide to disregard previous requirements and to lend on whatever terms they felt like -- like Ninja loans (no income, no job, no assets).

Deregulation allowed institutions to "bundle" these mortgages into packages and to sell them as securities.

No rules. No oversight. No clue to what was going on.

So with the 7 remaining "toss up" states, Obama just needs to win one, while McCain has to run the table.

But I question all of those "toss ups." If your look at the most recent polling composites, both Colorado and Virginia have been showing Obama with consistent leads. A very recent SUSA Virginia poll gave Obama a double-digit advantage. If New Mexico can be considered a likely Obama state now, I don't see why Colorado and Virginia can't.

It's a question of what time period you average over. But VA looks like it's rapidly moving towards Obama. Both SUSA and Suffolk gave him double digits. PPP in its release tomorrow hints that it will as well. CNN and Insider Advantage gave him +8 and +6 respectively. Only two polls show it close (Rasmussen has a leaning Obama and Mason-Dixon is leaning McCain). At this point, VA might be a better bet than CO.

Though, frankly, everything looks good...

Yes, FOX News *just confirmed* that Ms. Palin has it on good authority that Obama has had sex with Osama Bin Laden, and that if elected, he will be moving the infamous terrorist into the big house as his gay lover.

Needless to say, the Ayers terrorist connection has now taken something of a backseat, but stay tuned! With nearly a month left, you never know what OTHER tidbits might be revealed!
