With regard to manned spaceflight, it's certainly been greatly reduced. They've done good work in unmanned projects, though. In fact, come to think of it, go for the manned stuff, China! They can work on that for a while, and we can do long range probes for a while. Division of labor.This reminds me isn't it interesting how the US hasn't? I mean how would you describe NASA's post-Apollo ear other than "dismantling the fleet"?

The cost isn't so high anymore, and there's almost no future development left in Saudi Arabia or Texas. It became profitable after $30 oil, and it gets cheaper every year to do and more effective also as technology improves.Originally posted by Naked Gents Rut
