Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee who revealed Monday that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, earlier this year used her line-item veto to slash funding for a state program benefiting teen mothers in need of a place to live.

Who else you going to talk to if you want all the facts on the issue without being barred by atty-client privilege (through discovery, I'm sure Palin's lawyer has all the documents the other side is going to use)? Man, if she got 27 million for her little town, that has to make her the best mayor in history. If she was really good at getting earmarks for her state while using a line-item veto to control state spending, that has to make her one of the best governors in History.
Now I'm impressed. Or are mayors and governors not supposed to get money for their local area.
