Olympic Medal thread!!

I was looking at the medals on the website of teh "Comité International Olympique" I thought that the Turin medal, were actually one of the worst thing I ever see.

I give a special mention of how bad looking is the calgary one. (these medals are from the winter olympics)


c'mon I would feel embarrassed to have these on my neck. It look like a plumber thing.

maybe they should create a new medal, made from copper, which could only be given to Canadians.

That's how the medals looked back then, back when the Olympics were about amateurs competing...

on a side note; summer olympics medal were all based on the same original design.

apparently in recent olympiads the design has been slightly changed

the athens one is the same with the bejing



edit: the design has been changed since the 2004 games
