  • I'll give that claim as much credence as I did your hysterical cries of genocide. I'm still waiting for proof of that one. Are all Russians liars or just you?

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

    • Ok. I'll give you my serious answer to your question.

      1) The West should understand that the cold war is over.
We do, thats why our military is half the size it was back then. Russia, OTOH, is still busy designing and fielding new generations of MIRVed ICBMs, take your own advice.

      2) The West should stop portraying Russia as an enemy.
Portray you as an enemy? Hell Serb, the West barely even thinks of you at all. No more than Nigeria anyway.

      3) The West should stop acting like Russia is an enemy.
See #2. Serb, in an odd way I think you will actually find this insulting, but the Russians haven't been the "bad guys" in childrens games, movies, or video games for over a decade.

      4) The West should talk to Russia like an equal partner, not a "defeated" enemy.
Well, when you are an equal that will be the case. Why Russia thinks they should get a legacy admission to the chambers of power is beyond me. In what capacity besides ceremony is Russia equal to the other world powers? Militarily? Economically? From what do you derive this assumed importance that countries like Nigeria or Argentina can not?

(We are not Japan or Germany of 1945. God damn it. You never beat us military, we liberated ourselves and the West should bear that in mind).
You were defeated ideologically. It is irrelevant though, nobody is treating Russia as a defeated power. Rather, they are treating you as is proper given your place in the world as of right now.

      5) The West should stop to intervene in our internal affairs, stop lecturing us.
Please, you receive no more lecturing than anyone else. It would help if most of our lecturing wasn't spot on.

Do you have such concept as referendum when dealing with very important issues that will affect life of your country for many years in future?

Being Russian, when did you ever experiance democracy? Oh, Putin told you you did so you assumed you had, right...

But good start . Number 5 is kinda childish though.
Note he declined to say what Russia should do. Shock.

            The "west":
            1. Stop the demonization of the USSR.
            2. Acknowledge the major role we played in the WWII victory.
            3. Stop the demonization of our current regime and of Russia in general.
            4. Either dissolve NATO, or invite Russia in.
            5. Stop trying to influence Russian and CIS politics through NGOs and financing "progressive" parties.

Okay, now the harder half: Russia.
            1. Loosen the grip on the party system.
            2. Loosen the grip on the press.
            3. Acknowledge certain heavy-handedness of the foreign policy of the USSR.
            4. Loosen the grip on the economy.

Don't know what #5 could be.

Long time before such country as US existed.

Note he declined to say what Russia should do. Shock.
I said I need more time to answer his question seriously.
My initial reply wasn't really serious.

Our cries of genocide in South Ossetia are way more creditable than your cries about genocide in Kosovo.

I'm still waiting for proof of that one.
                  A proof of what?

Just what kind of proof do you need?
Statements of eyewitnesses, survived victims and susspects, perhaps videos are ok to you?

Non-Russian sources of information that back up the claims being made would be more than enough. I've already said this several times but it doesn't seem to sink into your Putin addled brain.

                            Bingo.

Why the hell did you bother with the first 5 then? If that's the prevailing attitude, the "West" needs to build thousands of Abrams, Leo2A6 and Chally 2s, forward deploy to Baltics and Poland, admit Georgia to NATO tomorrow, quadruple the navies and airforces, lure China away from the weird relationship with you (don't know how yet, but no one has really tried) in some way and see Russia die a fiscal death. Again.

                            Is that what you want?
