That's not a bad idea -- GLADIATOR style.

There's no more starving children there since we outsourced our jobs. Now, the starving children are in the U.S.

It's the union's fault, you know. If you extort your employer to the point that they go under, there's not much to complain about.

          I agree, completely.

I'm not at all surprised you think government regulation and the socioeconomic climate hasn't changed at all since the 1800s. Unions keep clinging to the past, and you're no different. Wake up and smell the 21st century.

Are Toyota and Honda's factory workers being paid starvation wages?

Toyota and Honda's factory workers spend their evenings whacking off to cartoons of schoolgirls in sailor suits being raped by octopi. Let there be no comparison between them and workers from civilized countries.

Those are Japanese companies with a different management philosophy. Are more appropriate question would be are Burger King and Wal-Mart employees being paid starvation wages. If no, do you think they would be if liberals didn't bump up the minimum wage from time to time.

BTW: This is supposed to be a thread about teh evil Chinese and their Olympics of Oppression.

Great, now GM and Ford will be trying this management style.

The Olympics doesn't contain anything I'm interested in since they did away with tug of war. Besides, the Disney Channel games will be on.

                        • Forgetting for Japanese sailorgirls for a moment:

Humane management is deadly to unions.
If management is treating its employees fairly, unions have nothing to do.

Our @hole managers here are the union's best recruiters.

I am referring to the Toyota and Honda factory workers in North America. I assure you, they're just as redneck as the Chevy workers.

If Burger King and Wal-Mart employees are not getting paid well enough to live, then this is the purpose of the minimum wage. Clearly it'd need to be raised.

Part of the problem is you guys put all of your effort into extorting money from big American car companies, airlines, etc. to the point that they go bankrupt -- all of that energy going into extortion should go into lobbying the government to raise minimum wages to reasonable levels. That way everyone gets reasonable wages, not just people who choose to extort to earn unfairly high wages with absurd benefits.

The comparison to Honda and Toyota is apt. Honda and Toyota may be "japanese companies", but their workers in North America earn competitive salaries with ample benefits without having to use a union. You're clearly uncomfortable talking about them because they make an absolute mockery of the need for unions in the 21st century, and I don't blame you for trying to shift the topic...

I'm gonna have to ask you to cite evidence. For all I know the Toyota suits make their American workers watch marathon Hentai sessions to make them fit in with Japanese corporate culture. You know, to build wa n'stuff. Even if they remain rednecks, that just means they get offended if the octopus looks black.
