Truth is spoken. The thought that the English think their food, cheese, and wines are good speaks to their poor taste, not the value of their judgement. Of course, when a Russian chimes in on English foods or wines, the truth may be that the English wares are relatively better than the standard fare in much of Russia. For the most part, English food is dull, without piquancy.
