  • I really thought Ledger's performance was captivating. He was so much more believable than Nicholson's bizarro performance.

Plus, the "warpaint" is a better idea than the acid bath.

Sounds cool to see it at an IMAX

It's been a couple of days since I've seen it and I decided that in order to form a better opinion, I'll have to go see it again. Only time I ever done that was seeing 300 twice.

I loved this movie and at the risk of being a Heath Ledger fanboy, I loved his performance as the Joker. There were many moments where I was just waiting to criticize something he had done but found myself unable to. One of the biggest complaints I can have on an actor is that some are just way too visible and I don't see the character but see the actor. When I looked up at the screen I didn't see Heath Ledger, I saw the Joker. When the Joker was in the room, something terrible and fascinating always seemed about to happen.

Another great character was Gary Oldman as Gordon.

I hate to not mention Christian Bale because I believe he is really great at Batman but I suppose Batman will always be outshone by those they choose to cast as villains.

          • One question though. Anyone see the trailer for Watchmen? My wife asked about it and I was totally clueless as to it's back story. She seemed disappointed, she said she counted on me to clue her in on that nerdy stuff.

Exactly. And exactly why they shouldn't do another. How on Earth could it measure up?

                      • Yup, we saw it last week and Steve hasn't stoped talking about it. We tried to get tickets this week to the IMAX here in Austin but no go three nights were sold out when we looked. He's hooked wants to see it agian. I thought it was apprepeau when the Joker said that line towards the end something to the effect of "you and I, we could do this forever." To bad that it won't continue.

Easy, Christian Bale just has to die shortly after filming.

You people need to take off the hype goggles.
