    Browser help please

    First of all, i'm posting this in the OT just for Wiglaf

    I got some ad-ware the other day, pretends to be an anti-spyware but its actually ad-ware. I was able to remove it, but now I'm completely unable to visit a few sites I tend to visit regularly, such as Yahoo and TSN. I uninstalled and re-installed Firefox, and still nothing. The problem persists with IE. I tried from my brother's computer and he has no problem whatsoever, so im convinced its something with this PC.

    Any advice?

    edit: I'm able to visit apolyton.

        Simplest thing to do is run Windows Defender, Spybot, Adaware, etc...any reputable antispyware you can find.

              I found it strange that I was able to visit some sites and not others.


              Anywho, I went with LordShiva's idea, after several runs of anti-spy **** didnt work.
