Modern day meanings of rape and forced sex is not what this is referring to, i think. This passage brings to mind say a 18 year old with 17 year old, which is also a ''rape'' in modern day, no matter how consensual.

Instead of saying she is "taking" life, you might say that she isn't giving it. She doesn't owe anything.

Just because you don't owe someone, doesn't mean you can take something away from them. You are talking about a different type of situation. Why shouldn't people be forced to give kidneys to keep other people alive? Because they should not be obligated to do so.
