There's rock down there that the foundation sits on. Not too far either, less than three feet of digging.

Currently it's still "froze". There's a guy that fixes comps and the girls will, in the fullness of time, contact him. Then, the eventuality will inevitably transpire that the guy will show up and maybe fix it. Then, in the long run, current predictions forecast the evaporation of the ever expanding universe.

You need to keep up to date on the latest science. Our current understanding of the universe is that not only will it keep expanding, but that expansion is accelerating. Although gravity should pull the local group together into one giant super-galaxy, in about 100 billion years, the rest of the universe will have disappeared beyond the event horizon. Future intelligent life forms will never know that they exit in a universe full of other galaxies, they will only have evidence of their own galaxy. Thus, they won't even know of the big bang.

The question right now is whether the acceleration will become so great that even the strong force will be overcome and matter will fall apart in a "Big Rip" scenario (not much evidence for this) or whether eventually the universe will just cool off and become a thin soup of particles and black holes.

Was still planning for the winter, but if going earlier is a possibility my schedule is pretty flexible. Whenever is convenient for you.

As for travel... I need to get vaccinations still it looks like. Passport (and outgoing ticket) is all that's needed for entry, right?

That's good, we're still planning on January. If you were to go early you would be going it alone and there are alot of considerations at that point...not really a good idea but if you had to go we would figure it.

I've never gotten a shot before going, been there 5 times now. Still, if you want one it's up to you. If I tell you you don't need one and you get something terrible...

well that would be bad.

You'll notice at your link page that it says for Bohol you don't need malaria shots.

Passport will get you in and give you a 21 day visa. you can extend 2 months at a time there but you might find it easier to get a longer term visa from the Philippine consulate before going.

Because Dolores and I are married and travel together I get a one year visa stamped automaticly in my passport when we present our marriage dealy.
