I'm pretty sure you're going to hell just for thinking about it.

I go to the Catholic church in the Phils, so what? Go where you want and do what you want. I'll go to any church that doesn't reject Christ. It's a social thing anyway, your relationship with God needs no such filter as a church. The girls get all dolled up, that's reason enough to go.Long time member @ Apolyton

It's fine from the Orthodox perspective as long as you don't partake of the sacraments (except for baptism/chrismation or marriage to an Orthodox person, and I suspect you aren't after either). If you want to know the Catholic perspective, ask your priest or some other Catholic source. If you don't know, we certainly aren't likely to, are we?

I just threw it out in case someone else did. I also wanted the orthodox perspective too, which I hoped you would be able to answer.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

My GF was just chrismated a few weeks ago after over a year attending services as a lapsed Presbyterian. Perhaps it's a Russian thing, akin to the part of the service where you bow down to the statue of Putin?
Seriously, all you have to do is avoid taking communion, since we understand that to be a sign of full dogmatic agreement. Otherwise it's all good. This thread is misnamed, though. Not that I mind. I only clicked out of morbid curiosity, to see what the justification was for restarting a locked-down thread...
When I was younger, I had great interest in profane aspects of the Orthodox church, and I clearly remember there were three sections: the narthex, the nave, and the sanctuary. BK should stand in the narthex during services.
Well, probably your church is like those fabled Ukrainian mosques that tell that it's okay to eat salo and drink horilka to get any converts. Here in Russia the chruch has no such need, so the rules are followed strictly.Graffiti in a public toilet
