    Minorshminor. The very fact that the "incident" was mentioned expressive enough. If performing a magic trick is considered a misbehaviour I wonder how substantiated the other allegations are.

        Those are hardly a reason to fire anyone outright. The wizardry complaint is not enough to be called a "straw" unless it's followed by "man."

            Why in the Hell is a substitute wasting a middle school's class's time by performing magic tricks?

            What kind of middle school is this anyway that they didn't kick his ass at recess for that ****?

              Indeed. I wonder if this is the confusion - "We fired you because you wasted the class's time performing magic tricks" and the italic part is left out in the TV interview because it's less interesting...

                  According to the article the trick took 40 seconds. If that 40 seconds gets the kids settled down and paying attention to the teacher then it just might be worth it.
