Just for my own personal benefit: is trolling a ban-able offense? Or was it the stretch of all the events that happened that night which made banning Asher the proper move?
The impression I get is that by the point where Asher created the polite thread of complaints, he was no longer breaking any rules, but got banned regardless.
Ignoring a moderator's instruction is a bannable offense. Trolling is not in and of itself, although excessive or overly personal trolling is. As with many things, though, it ends up being somewhat of a judgment call by the moderator based on the specific instance.
