catholics. they believe: the first pope was st. peter, and Jesus built his church from him. popes are the direct successors of him. i forget how many popes there have been. 270? something like that. the pope is infallible in regard to teaching and verifying that kind of stuff. they have had corrupt popes but they have not made any laws or whatever that were corrupt. catholics look for leadership in the pope. blahblahblah i don't know what else. i could ask my father later.

Why dont they pray for Allah?
Because Muhammed copied from the Bible. They were there 600 years before there was any Islam.
What makes them think they are right and Boudists are wrong for example?
Goes back to the resurrection. If Christ died and rose from the dead, then it makes sense that we should follow him over the other folks.
Catholics say that the Buddhists are right in some things, but wrong in others, it's not that simple to say they Buddhists are wrong in everything.

Second, my question was kind of a trap. Buddism is not a religion, its a philosophy. See?

Heh. You should've looked more closely, that citation is wrong.
President Reagan and Pope John Paul II met on September 10, 1987 in Miami, Florida, during the Holy Father's visit to the United States. Source: The Reagan Diaries, HarperCollins, 2007.
There may have been other visits, who's to say, but the above cannot be disputed.

Yes we do.

Umm ok.
And that source, scroll down and skip the 'history' part. Start at section II the 'Old Roman Creed'.

I don't know of any other leader/celebrity for whom people line the streets of Washington. It just doesn't happen too often.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
