It's the same thing Reagan said when kicking off his campaign in the South in 1980. He made a comment about people seeing a "strapping buck buying t-bones with food stamps" and then driving home in his brand new Cadillac. Only in the South did he use that language, though.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

That's a vast improvement over the Republicans ... blowing up the budget on pork, corporate give aways, and pay offs to corporate farms.

In collusion with the chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, Representative Collin Peterson (D-Minn.), Speaker Pelosi rammed a farm bill through the House last summer that killed any prospects for reform.

How good is the protection against counterfeiting on food stamps? The name "stamps" suggests something simplistic. In this day of cheap laser printers, I wonder...

Back it up. Cite that the people on food stamps are living high on the hog with t-bones, designer clothes, and new caddies. You can't because it's a lie.

At least at the state level, it's done with debit-style cards now, I believe ("LINK" in Illinois).

Why don't you cite that it is not the case? Remember you are the one that quoted the 10% data and then assumed whatever agenda driven crap you wanted out of it, not me.

We have three people here whose personal experience includes cronic abuse, and when was the last time you saw Kid come out on the side of something I said.

For my part, my extensive volunteering at homeless shelters and half way houses aside, I am the financial councilor for a command of 3000, 2000 being E-1 to E-3. Something tells me I have more experiance dealing with and helping out people on food stamps or otherwise financially shaky ground than you, an angsty almost thirty year old drooling over indy web sites. It is my job after all.

It is the same here, making the abuse of cashing it in on none food harder.

Food stamps were harder to counterfeit than our money was, and now days they use cards, not actual vouchers.

Only problem with the cards is that people still sell their food stamps.

How can you sell your food stamps if it is a card? Are the cars not person specific?

Patty, you're the idiot claiming people on welfare are rich and live lavish lives so it is up to you to prove that's true.

They also need to make it harder to sell drugs from your house when you are on subsidized housing.

I'm only saying this because it's horrible to let people get away with this crap. These people mostly have kids and the kids are growing up wrong. It's really bad for society the way this kind of things is mishandled.

Really, please point out where I said they were rich and lived lavish lifestyles.

                              Pretty please.
