HA HA! Rush Limbaugh's big mouth will likely get Democrat elected!

Actually his rise to prominence tracks better as a whining thorn in the side of Dems. His personal success would be enhanced by a Dem in the white house.
As such, I am puzzzled why O' wishes such good fortune on Rush in light of his demagogic rants 'gainst him.

The primaries are all over. The only person who doesn't know it is Hillary Clinton. I wish Bill would send Al in to talk to her. She needs counselling.
Yes, because Al Gore is always quick to realise when he's lost a contest. No dragging it out until it's flashing all over in neon lights from this guy!
It's a pretty ridiculous piece, not least because there wasn't a strong ideological distinction between the GOP candidates, IIUC. The contrast was primarily geographic and personal (the guy that Lott supported beat the guy that Cochran supported). It is a possible Dem pickup opportunity, though, which says a lot about the national environment (Bush won the district by something like 25%).

I saw this and laughed my ass off. Rush Limbaugh and other right wing talk radio ********* having been urging Republicans to reregister as Democrats so they can vote for Hillary Clinton and as a result his idiotic fans cannot vote in the Republican primary. Net result Republican extremists lost a few key primaries to moderates and now it seems that Democrats will pick up some seats in Congress as a result. Good job *********!
As opposed to the Dems who registered as republicans to vote for McCain?

Cite please. Everything I've seen so far is that the trend has been down for Republican turn out and up for Democratic turn out.
It honestly sounds like a lot of projection and wishful thinking to justify the misconduct instead of any large scale thing that happened. Besides with such a tight race on the Democratic side few would want to switch over and lose their voice in their party's primary.

I almost voted for McCain in the 2000 California primaries....mainly, because I really hated Bush, and because McCain was a good guy.
(I ended up voting for Bradley because I didn't like Gore, and because Bradley's chances of beating Gore were better than McCain's chances of beating Bush.)

Which means nothing.
Weren't you the one who said that Republican turnout was down and democrat turnout up because democrats were more popular?

Right, so Democrats would prefer to see Huckabee in rather then McCain?
I was here, Democrats absolutely hated Huckabee, and while there was little difference between Hillary and Obama, would see their vote mean more on the Republican side by voting against Huckabee to make sure he didn't get in.
Do you seriously believe these 'independents' aren't registered dems crossing over?

Thanks.
I see nothing wrong with them interfering with each other.
I'm glad to see Oerdin is on the same side as Santorum on this issue.

I have no idea what Rick Santorum's position is though I rarely agree on him. My position is that it is funny as hell that Limbaugh's attempts to tamper with the Democratic Primary will likely lead to Republicans losing Congressional seats.

Then again, as Olbermann states, the Democrat is supposedly very, very conservative (he states more conservative than 85% of Republicans). Would Limbaugh rather have Republicans or conservatives? That's a big question here.

Santorum has stated that primaries should be closed, and prevent people from voting.
I'm of the opinion that open primaries are superior, in that they are more democratic.
Honestly, I should think the Democrats would want the candidate chosen by the greater number of people rather then the fewer.
As for losing congressional districts, why does that have anything to do with Limbaugh? People who register Dem can still vote Republican in the general election.

Olberman report in the OP.
True, he is a conservative Democrat but Limbaugh is constantly saying all Democrats are evil so it is still funny. Plus even conservative Democrats still vote with the party on most important issues.
You haven't provided any evidence that indicates any losses will occur, in my opinion. Multiple times posters have questioned why a more extreme candidate would more likely win an election than a less extreme candidate, and no answer is forthcoming to that...
