  • Germany is a Theocracy /rant

Yup, can you believe it, in a country with so called seperation of state and church, there is actually a law which prohibits dancing on the holy days of eastern (such as on friday), as it would be disrespectfull cose of jesus death and such. So you can go to clubs, there can be music but if anyone is dancing the club can be fined with 1.500 euros.
And to make it even more redicilous the police is actually going arround and checking the clubs if anybody is dancing or not... (like they gave a damn about enforcing other laws all the time that activly)....

I say some freedom loving democracy should invade and rid us of this evil theocratic system

Jesus was the first black metal fan. Of course he would approve of dancing.

Not a joke... it should be one, but it isnt...

It Depends on the Country (Bundesland) you live in. In Baden-Württemberg it is the law...

Instead of singling out certain days I think a much more fair ruling would be to ban music alltogether, this was done successfully in other parts of the world

I also never heard of it, but obviously it is true.
Even NRW (Northrhine Westphalia) has it:

In NRW it is Karfreitag, Allerheiligen, Totensonntag and Volkstrauertag on which public dancing events are forbidden.

Obviously according to this law it is also forbidden to show movies on Karfreitag which aren´t "marked as being suitable to be shown on Karfreitag" by the ministry of culture in germany.
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve."
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "He has fallen in battle and I must take him to the Einherjar in Valhalla"

If it is in BW, it's probably law in Bavaria as well. Reason enough to burn the catholic church right next to my home. Thankfully, our local REWE sells torches. What would I do without REWE?

I told you all zee Germans are evil!
Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.
The simple suggestion of a true change scandalizes and terrifies modern man. -Nicolás Gómez Dávila
