I don't expect the admin to be forthcoming with the truth and evidence about their lies.

While I wait I will consider them to be liars.

You can have your opinion like anyone, but there is zero evidence of lieing. At least you have the honesty to admit that.

There are enough indicators to point to it however. Or you can have "Door B" in that they are just incredibly stupid.

Only shills for the admin still argue something other than the above two options.

No, there are also the cherry pickers.

If you are referring to the admin cherry picking that would put them in the liars category (lying by omission).

Zombies.... give me your ear (if they haven't rotted off yet).... it's time.... to move on.... from boring politics... cheesy campaign speeches read by politicians who didn't write them... and Iraq.... and al quaeda.... so you can finally.... learn how to live life.... life beyond the 6 o'clock news and the newspapers which are always the same drivel.... and learn that life does not have to be an endless journey of worshipping terrorism, corrupt politicians, and the crowd of miserable off-topic posters.
Here is an interesting scenario to check out. The Vietnam war is cool.

The Obama speech on race was quite good.

read by politicians who didn't write them...

I don't know if he wrote it but I suspect he had a hand in writing it anyway. A definite step up as it would show this candidate can at least read, unlike the current occupant of the WH.

We will have many years to talk about Iraq and AQ. This admin has ensured the failed policy will extend for many more years to come.

No, I am talking about the people who, all else being equal as far as "guilt" goes, consider Bush a conspiratory liar because he is white, from Texas and has a souther acent and consider Powell a victimized angel becaus they like him.

And thes are the real funny ones because if they are willing to admit Powell is not a liar while being party to everything, they simulatneously admit nobody in the admin was a lair and the word as it is being applied is a figment of their imagination.

Ah, okay then I can provide you consistency on that front.

I'm not a cherry picker as I consider Powell to be a lying piece of **** as well. He sold his soul for 20 pieces of silver imho.

                    • Are there people arguing that Powell wasn't lying?

I thought a lot of people called him up on his nonsense when he went in front of the UN with, inter alia, his mobile laboratory stuff.

                        • 1.) Yes, a lot of people who think the Admin are lying absolve Powell of all guilt and pretend he was just be a duped angel. (I believe there was one in this very thread actually).

2.) A lot of people who think the Admin is lying and believe Powell complicit are perfectly willing to gloss over it in his case but no other, and of course without offering any reasoning for this either (shock).

                            • No, I believe they all were wrong. I actually think they believed they were right all along. I an willing to discuss how much of an idiot that makes each one in turn, but there is NOTHING (including every report/investigation into the subject) that points to lieing by any of them.

Does that fact that some do mean that all do? I don't think it makes a good defence to allegations of lying, except that it shows that certain people are not rational. But then that is nothing we didn't know already.

Personally I don't think this thing is a black and white scenario (pardon the pun). The honest truth is that there are so many shades of deceit that could have been perpetrated that it's hard to know whether to say they were lies, mistruths, white lies, damned lies, statistics, misleading intel etc. What you call them is irrelevant, you've got to look at the facts and make an apolitical judgement call. Did their actions seem reasonable, given what we know?

I do believe that there was disingenuous behaviour within the admin, with plenty of "don't ask, don't tell" and selective focus on intelligence. Call that lying, call that being duped. A rose by any other name smells just as sweet. Make the judgement call, was it screw up or machiavellian machinations?

But I state the obvious maybe.
