Tah dah -- I'm here. And Lancer's sick as a dog. Dolores has dug out the left over medication from his last illness; looks like it's probably the same thing.

Lancer was doing well last night. We stopped and looked at three of his properties -- including his partially built coastal castle-- then went to his house in Jagna, sat on his balcony and swilled pineapple juice. Later, he pulled out Civ IV and showed me how to play it.

I was starting to fog out by then. It was about 7;30 p.m. local time or 3;30 a.m. Los Angeles time. I'd been awake -- except for many cat naps -- for 45 hours.

Manila wasn't nowhere as bad as Lancer makes out. Cebu was icky thought because I just missed the Supercat and had to wait 2 hours for the next one. I had also misremembered the voyage from Cebu from Tagballaran as being 45 minutes. It's really two hours.

Lancer, Dolores, and Papa Mente were there at the dock in Tagbalaran to meet me. We climbed into Papa Mente's truck and headed off. It was nice to get out of traffic crush of Tagbalaran and onto the paripheral road which leads to Jagna...tropical folliage on our left, the ocean on our right. The tenseness that had been building up in L.A. on during the trip, just flowed away.

This morning, I discovered I'd forgotten to pack a razor. I'm very scruffy.

Well, we just got back from the hospital.

Today's problem was very high blood sugar. (IIRC, this is a minifestation of the Addison's Disease). Lancer's now in his bedroom, with an IV drip. One of the nurses from the hospital will be dropping in later to check up on him.

Unbeknownst to me, yesteday, Lancer was injecting himself with insulin because he could tell his blood sugar was high, but it wasn't helping. He thinks he may have had a dud bottle of insulin. At the hospital, he switched to a new bottle.

He's very weak and nausious, but still cracking bad jokes.

Of course this would coincide with your visit to him, which begs the question:

Lancer's bouncing back nicely

He had a long nap, then Dolores brought us some lunch, and we've been sitting out on the balcony, BSing. After about a half hour, we wanted to lie down again. So, I'm off to play Civ IV.

Lancer here, Zkrib is resting before the car arrives and we go see the Tarsier monkeys. Still kicking.

I have no idea how to switch this from Zkribs account to mine.

I had a fleeting thought to make a thread under Zkribs account about how you are all *** ****s, but no, wouldn't be right. (Just cuz I didn't doesn't mean you aren't)

Yah, don't blow it on something like that. If you're going to take advantage of using someone's account, you might as well say something controversial or flamboyantly incorrect... not just state the obvious.
