Nah, in the modern day it's not like that at all. By the time we have Robot Wars (tm), we will have wars for the purpose of changing brand loyalty
The robots will spread memes for Coca-Cola or Pepsi-Cola (or the rebel RC Cola) and try to destroy each other in the process
