Zkrib, this is a post, the rebar prior to a form being built around it and the cement mix being poured into it.

We've got someone in mind but we're going to speak with her first, maybe this evening. She's somewhere around the age you said and a really great young lady. She's good looking and has a smile that will break your heart. She also has a very expressive face that will be hard to capture with a camera. In fact there's alot about her irl that will be hard to capture. She has a way... We're going to make sure she's not seeing anyone. Her name is Ruth.

Here you can see a post with the rebar extending up into the large second floor form. Lower on the post you can see a wood collar that will be slid up to the form and when we pour the floor the cement will flow down into the collar and the whole will be one. It can't flow out...much... because the seal is good enough.

Ah! So first the rebar, then pour the concrete post around it, and then put in the concrete-block wall between the posts. Is there rebar in the concrete blocks as well?

Zoid, Dolores and I looked at your profile pic and we feel certain that Ruth will be happy...assuming she's not seeing anyone. If she is we'll find someone else.

Ruth is third from the right.

Dolores had a party for the local gals. I wasn't invited but her very nice gay friend was.

Absotootalootedly! In fact here is the bottom of a tie beam up above. Through the form of the beam extending downward is rebar that will tie into the rebar that runs through the hollow block which is then filled with cement, so it's not hollow anymore. Look at the bottom of the form...

This is a pic of a tie beam from up above. Rocks are placed under the rebar structure to allow cement to flow under it. This beam isn't really a good example because it won't have a wall under it so nor rebar is sticking through the bottom.

Here two tie beams tie the different parts of the house together. I don't know if that'[s why they are so called or whether it's because the structure of the rebar is all tied together with ties.

I'm getting fairly fancy with a camera from watching you Zkribaroo. You can see that the cement will flow into these channels to make the beam and be trapped by the form.

                    • Another thing about the above pic is that the metal of the beam extends above the plywood. Into the tie beam will be tied more rebar that will run on top of the plywood and reinforce the actual floor we will walk on. The pour will be deeper than the top of the rebar tie beam shown above. Many tons of weight, particularly wet. These things do sometimes collapse.

A pic of Jasmine from the party on Sunday.

                          Almost double her age
We can ask her how she feels about the age difference if you like. Is there a pic of you anywhere on Poly?

We had to go buy some more nails and these women were kind enough to sell them to us.

                          • Opposite the place we bought nails there is a closer view of the port of the quarry.

                            • Here you can see where the cement will flow down into the hole for a post and the collar below can be seen tight to the tie beam form. The sides are not yet on the tie beam form. There are stacks of hollow block below waiting...waiting...
