We've got someone in mind but we're going to speak with her first, maybe this evening. She's somewhere around the age you said and a really great young lady. She's good looking and has a smile that will break your heart. She also has a very expressive face that will be hard to capture with a camera. In fact there's alot about her irl that will be hard to capture. She has a way... We're going to make sure she's not seeing anyone. Her name is Ruth.Originally posted by Zoid
Lancer, I'm 38. 20 years age difference is a bit creepy... But if you know any 25 year olds I'm up for it...

Here you can see a post with the rebar extending up into the large second floor form. Lower on the post you can see a wood collar that will be slid up to the form and when we pour the floor the cement will flow down into the collar and the whole will be one. It can't flow out...much... because the seal is good enough.

Absotootalootedly! In fact here is the bottom of a tie beam up above. Through the form of the beam extending downward is rebar that will tie into the rebar that runs through the hollow block which is then filled with cement, so it's not hollow anymore. Look at the bottom of the form...Originally posted by Zkribbler
Ah! So first the rebar, then pour the concrete post around it, and then put in the concrete-block wall between the posts. Is there rebar in the concrete blocks as well?

Another thing about the above pic is that the metal of the beam extends above the plywood. Into the tie beam will be tied more rebar that will run on top of the plywood and reinforce the actual floor we will walk on. The pour will be deeper than the top of the rebar tie beam shown above. Many tons of weight, particularly wet. These things do sometimes collapse.
A pic of Jasmine from the party on Sunday.

You can see that the cement will flow into these channels to make the beam and be trapped by the form.
