Yeah, but isn't Linden basically leading FICORA? Not in their organizational chart, but even so? It's like the interior minister is above police force.

But yes, the actual output comes from YLE. But it is under FICORA as far as I understand.

YLE is a big mess anyway. They SUCK so bad it doesn't even matter anymore. You see, they have NO business competence what so ever, and they don't need it. They just have to collect money from the citizens as "license fees", which they keep raising all the time. I mean, I could actually get a pretty damn good set of pay tv channels, that actualyl shows something instead of this mandatory YLE crap.

They have no accountability what so ever. They spend so much money on nothing that it's a new world record every year. It has no value anymore. It used to be better, they've actually gotten worse with more money.

Oh, and the head of YLE just gave an exciting comment, that they won't be doing the HD thing for years, was it 2019? Something CRAZY like that, because supposedly HD isnt' going to catch fire here, people won't buy HD televisions... yet the prices of TVs has come down recently and HDs are selling like crazy. They decided to go with the digi tv or whatever the hell it is called. Vastly inferior to HD, and they forced people to buy these boxes for them and quit analogue signal altogether. SO people HAD to buy boxes in order to see anything at all, but it's waste of money because HD is where it's at and it was known at the time because the US and Japan already went with HD, so it's not like few Euro countries matters.

So they made a blunder of the century, people knew it, they just keep denying it. Now they say well, screw this, we won't get HD because meh meh meh. No. They won't get it because they ****ed up and people STILL have to pay for it regardless. It's like if all the world just went Amiga agian and you'd have to purchase an Amiga to get connected, except the rest of the world just didn't do that, but we all now got Amigas and everything is limited, since we're the only ones with it, and the ******* who made the decision, the incompetent idiot, he's the one saying Amigas rule, we will never change this because peoply want Amigas and if you don't believe me, then you shall be eliminated.

I mean seriously. People pay more every year, it's getting ridiculously expensive and oh well, it's also mandatory. They keep screwing everything up, jus tdoesn't matter, they screw it up, people pay for it anyway, and the service is just not there anymore. And if you have a problem with it, it feels like there's this mob crew who is there to beat you up unless you shut up and pay. It's really screwed up.

Nettiradiotoimittaja Pasi Viheraho haastatteli Henrikssonia. Jokainen voi haastattelun kuuntelemalla tehdä omat johtopäätökset. Kommentti "google on selain" ei anna kuvaa, että estoa olisivat toteuttamassa asiaan perehtyneet tahot.

              Haastattelu löytyy mp3-muodossa osoitteesta: http://cookie.tar.googlepages.com/pa...taa_krplle.mp3
It's in Finnish, great comment from police official: Google is a browser, cannot be censored - there is a problem of censoring whole hosting sites because of one questionable site, even though law says that addresses should be filtered. Google etc. image searches are able to find those images and such. Of course we don't want Google to be censored, probably everyone understands what this is about.

JulianD, exactly. And we have good people who could help, EFF and others, but they are kicked out of these groups who give their expert opinion on things. Kind of makes democracy pointless.

Yeah. And look at the rest of the list? Where's the equivalent of EFF? I know we have no entity that is like the UCLA, but how about EFF? They at elast offered help.

It's pretty clear these groups have been selected with an agenda on their minds, so this was decided before it began. It's not the first time either you know... this is the same ****, and they call it "no corruption ever happens". Right, it's just politics.

I mean look at that list. Only "worried parents" and other media entities on that list, plus few ISPs. Where exactly are the ones who are defending privacy issues and freedom of speech? NOWHERE! Oh wait, we do have one lawyer who knows the law, but oh well, she works for the equivalent of RIAA

Fair and balanced. Now let's start censoring the internet with secret lists!

It was also mentioned on some discussion that this committee has under 40% of men and goes against the law about gender discrimination unless they have "good reasons" for it. I don't know how viable that actually is (if the law really applies here), so take it as a hearsay. Gender distribution obviously is heavily not 'fair'.

Other than that it really looks like an all-star "oh, won't someone think of the children"-team.

Well I do find it rather interesting, that since measures about internet censorship do not include tons of people from the side of law as well as privacy and other rights advocates, I mean what good is this whole democracy thing then? Yeah, let people who have one sided interest in this to decide it. Sounds like a plan, forget about the rights adn stuff like internet not being filtered being important. It matters not. Let's take these people, who no one knows, who have no credibility anyway and represent dodgy orgs, let them decide. Surely that's a great idea. Oh and let's NOT talk about it EVER again, that way they don't get too excited. Sure sure, fgew people will raise their voices, but let's call them pedophiles and block their sites too.
