Hmm, forgot Russell Crowe. Just watched A Beautiful Mind the other day, too. Excellent actor.

DiCaprio was not Crowe's African friend in Gladiator.

I really love Johnny Depp, he has such an interesting acting style and is really enjoyable to watch (especially in Pirates).

Tom Hanks is a list topper. He plays lots of thought provoking characters and is just a great actor.

Cary Elwes is always good for a laugh.

Hugh Grant is what every girl secretly wants: a cute guy with an accent.

                  Ditto for Hugh Jackman.

I have loved Christian Bale since the first time I saw Newies as a preteen. Also, there will never be a better Batman!

I also really like Liv Tyler, Meg Ryan, and Will Smith.

Johnny Depp -- compare Capt. Jack Sparrow with Jim Berrie; it's hard to believe it's the same actor.

Denzel Washington -- I watched "Man on Fire" again last weekend. I didn't want to. I had things to do. But Denzel was dazzling, and I couldn't turn the TV off.

Rod Steiger -- Still around the last time I looked. His performances as Napolean in Waterloo and as the red-neck sheriff in The Heat of the Night are some of the best ever. [BTW: The list of his great performances goes on.]

If we're talking about actresses too, then Connie Nielsen.

Sadly I cannot be objective wrt to female actors. I put too much importance on non-acting attributes.

I love the line in My Two Dads where the landlady checks out a sink clog and observes, "You don't need a plumber; you need Sigourney Weaver."
