  • I was listening to an excerpt from one of his speeches on the way home today. I can understand his appeal to younger voters. After all these years of that dufus currently residing in the white house (a good portion of their lives) I can see how Obama appears to be a breath of fresh air. The bar is low.

Personally his inexperience is a concern but I'm not convinced going the "experience" route has done good things for you either.

I'd vote Ron Paul or not at all.

Well, the President isn't technically the party leader - Howard Dean is president of the DNC, I don't remember the RNC president's name.

You must really want the US to be destroyed.

Yes, he's certainly somewhat more adept at feigning humanity than most politicians. That's one small step I suppose...

Your political system needs a serious shaking up.

We have separate party presidents as well, but they play a more symbolic role than the Parliamentary leadership, at least as far as policy is concerned. Maybe its different in the USA. Australian parliaments combine both legislative and executive (through the PM and Cabinet) power... so Parliamentary leaders can be quite powerful.

VERY Interesting breakdown of the California exit polls by CNN. Whites went a small bit for Obama, blacks went HUGE for Obama, Latinos went big for Clinton, and the big surprise, Asians went huge for Clinton. Now to see how it all plays out.

How is that a suprise? Did you not pay attention to the "no controlling legal authority" fund raising idiocy or the fund raising crap earlier this season from the Clinton camp?
