And yet you continue to complain about the people there who wanted it changed just because of the number.

I guess suffering caused by an irrational belief in non existent entities despite all evidence to the contrary isn't just restricted to religious nutters eh?

The nuttery doesn't drop just because people outside that area considers the number an offense - quite contrary.

Actually, I don't see any evidence of such. According to the article it's the religious belief of that site that makes the number offensive.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

    • Thank you, BlackCat. Before you chipped in just now, I was going to be the guy who just didn't know when to STFU in this thread. But you took that bullet for me. That was almost Christlike. Are you sure you don't believe?

You should know that Elok argued against 'equanimity' and sounded like a major dick. You can find the thread long-forgoten in the OT-archives somewhere...

I wouldn't live by that metric. Happiness isn't the be all and end all. If a man could figure out a way to imprison everyone and force them to be happy through opiates or something we certainly wouldn't consider that moral.

This is a grave misunderstanding of happiness. A confused stupor is very near as far as happiness as you can get.

I doubt it. Pills can't fix everything.

That explains why I'm not religious.

You make it so easy to hate Christians. I know they aren't all like you though.

It's people like you who are arrogant, thinking that any kind of experience or knowledge can be shared on the public place.

What worries me about that day is that we also will be able to take a pill that induces religion
