Who do you think will be the next President of the US?

I've been watching for the spin from Clinton's Poly supporters but I haven't seen it yet. Maybe they are still in shock.

Wait for NH before declaring her dead, I'd say .

I'm neither for nor against Hillary at this point, but from what I understand, the Dem caucus in Iowa is severely ****ed up. The process sounds absolutely Byzantine.
But then it does vaguely mimic the electoral college, so perhaps there is something for it. If a candidate can deal with wacky Iowa, they can deal with the wacky general election...

Well she did shift resources from her national campaign in a bid to avoid defeat in Iowa. I'm just curious if people think that after all that effort to craft an aura of inevitability, she can come back after it cracking right out of the gate.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio
The news report I read referred to Hillary's loss as a "stinging defeat".
Perhaps Dems are finally realizing she can't win.

Yes she is through not from this defeat alone but from the ones that will follow, the pundits won't declare her dead for some time but its inevitable , NH and South Carolina, will go to Barrack by similar margins, though she is likely to win Nevada. With the triple crown Obama will become the front runner and begin coasting.

I'm voting for a Fred Thompson/Huckabee clone named F***abee.
I'm a little curious how long it took you to come up with that. Seems like you may have been waiting to use it somewhere

It's somewhat amusing to see all this hating on Huckabee. I've met the man on a dozen occasions through different ways and he always seemed genuine. I don't think he has what it takes to be president and I wouldn't vote for him but he isn't the terrible person I see from people that appear to be scared of him. He has done some good things here in Arkansas but has also done some things that make you ask WTF. In a strange way, he seemed to get a little more serious and maybe a little mean when he lost all his weight. He wasn't the jolly fat man anymore. One instance comes to mind that in the last few weeks of being in office here, someone in his staff apparently had his cell service cut off and he wrote a pretty nasty memo that got leaked. He ended up going into the Alltell office himself to get it straightened out.
He isn't Presidential material and will probably end up running for a for a seat in Congress soon.
This election year has left me really uninspired McCain is the only Repulican that I can muster any kind of respect for and Chris Dodd was the only Democrat that didn't make me sick to listen to and he is out.

Well I'm generally scared of religious nuts. Granted, Huckabee seems to have been fairly careful about being too gung-ho for God in his campaign, but still I just can't help but be wary. That's before I get to his positions on issues.
Look at the last guy the evangelical Christian set foisted on us, eh?
