Canada is part of ESA if I recall.
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

Yep, saw that thing on TV yesterday. It has an external aerial for GLONASS. :P But still, it's much better than I expected.
BTW, it's kinda hard to make these two systems work together. Converting between two different reference ellipsoids is not an easy task. I wonder if there's a switch on this Glospace to show either pair of coordinates.

Why is the operating system in English if it is in fact Russian?

          A multi-language OS surprises you?

No, I expect a multi-lingual population is the surprise.

              You mean this external aerial?

                English is widespread in Russia.

                    That was precisely my point.

Nope, not this one. That's a regular SiRF Star.
Also, it has no internal battery, but weighs more than 400 grams. This means it runs on a lead-acid battery, just like I predicted.

(for the others) It's running Windows, so do not roll your eyes when you see familiar letters on the screen.

Not a member, just a "Cooperating State", which seems to mostly signify that the ESA will buy Canada's stuff.

I thought they contributed to the budget of ESA and had input in decision making and various voting rights. At least that was the case about 5-10 years ago, and for a long time before that.
