what place? religion? then no, I know absolutely nothing about religion. I just don't understand the concept of it.
Some of you may know my dismay that these fanatical people get tax exemption. It's high time to get rid of that so they can support roads they deem as "holy".
I highly doubt the planed NAFTA corridor that will go from Toronto to Mexico will be considered holy (I-69). It already exsits in from Detriot to Indianapolis. The city of Evansville (the city I live in in Southern Indiana) has argued desperatly to get it extended here (and people from Evansville became known as I-69ers in Indianapolis.)
Well,he was a New York attorney
That would take a southern journey
Into places that he'd never been
She was a brunette out of Brooklyn
Fast talkin' and good lookin'
With a body that was made for sin
And she wanted him for marriage
Cause the torch that she carried
Was hotter then the fires of hell
But he said he didn't need her
So she followed him down deep
Into the buckle of the Bible belt
She begged and she pleaded
And she told him what she needed
Was a little tender lovin' care
But he was wrapped up in his work
And actin' like a jerk
By pretendin' that she wasn't there
But her heart was love stricken
So she never thought of quittin'
When givin' up on how she felt
She had plans to seduce him
If she could she would loosen
The notch in the Bible belt
There's alot of good people
Who are led astray
That believe true love is dead
But,I'll tell ya somethin' brother
When you're dealin' with your feelings
It's tough to keep a level head
And it's hard to imagine
How the flames of passion
Will burn till your soul will melt
And it'll spread like a cancer
Till you're gonna have to answer
To your heart in the Bible belt
Yeah,yeah,yeah...
Oh...
Whoo...hoo...hoo
Well,no matter who you are
If you're a peasant or a star
There's a need for love in every room
And he found it pretty soon
Underneath the southern moon
When she finally made him understand
And every man's got his pride
And he'll try to run and hide
From emotion that is hard to tell
So he gave her love a chance
That's when he found romance
In the heart of the Bible belt...
Yeah...
There's alot of good people
Who are led astray
That believe true love is dead
But I'll tell ya somethin' brother
When you're dealin' with your feelings
It's tough to keep a level head
And it's hard to imagine
How the flames of passion
Will burn till your soul will melt
And it'll spread like a cancer
But you're gonna have to answer
To your heart in the Bible belt...
They better get their heads together
Or they're gonna slap leather
With their hearts in the Bible belt...

The clear answer is for the strip clubs and dirty bookstores to take on a religious theme. What could go wrong?
Ask Larry Flynt what happens when you mix religion and porn.

you live there? I thought you lived on the west coast?
I've only driven through texas and oklahoma, never been further north than that.
I lived in Viriginia which was very conservative. The religious stuff wasn't real strong there. I guess because it was a military town with people of many backgrounds. There were churches I suppose, but I never payed much attention to them. and religious stuff didn't dominate the news, so the city (I'm including all of Hampton Roads) didn't seem particularly religious. Neither did Charleston, SC.
I suppose when you live in a flat inland state with absolutely nothing to do, you turn to religion.

I did live in California, but I moved to Oklahoma City over a year ago now.

There's plenty to do here. Oklahoma City is larger than Fresno, where I'm from. I'm not sure at all why they are like they are. They just are.
Don't get me wrong they are very good people, just very strange to me. If you need something they will help you out even though they don't even know you, which is unlike California mostly.

My Aunt lives in Tulsa. I stayed there a night when driving cross country.
Don't remember there being much to do there. We ate ice cream at that one ice cream shop. It's pretty popular there, and I think we have one here as well.
I remember are some horrible street names, not as bad as street names in Utah, but still pretty bad.
Wasn't there long enough to see how religious they were.
