Darius -- just don't really like the music from the born-again period. Choose to pretend it never happened. I strongly prefer Highway 61 era stuff and the Rolling Thunder Revue period.
Wezil -- I concede that Bob doesn't have a classically "good" voice. I was just goofing around -- if you havne't been able to tell by the volume of spam posts -- I have very little to do at work this week.
I do happen to think Bob's voice, despite not being classically good, is the only one that does his songs justice (think "It's all right ma" or "desolation row" or "masters of war").
Have you heard him lately? Old Bob makes young Bob sound like Pavarotti.? All he can do now are his recent talk-sing songs which require no voice, just a gravelly croak, which is all he's got left.
