BTW, CH and I are having an ontopic discussion of it, in case youre interested.
Yes, I appreciate it. Now if you would be so kind as to ask Kuci to join you.

Talk about a raw deal especially since many of these forced marriages are just so the parents can make money by selling their teen daughter (who happens to have EU or US citizenship) to the highest bidder who wants a free ticket to the west.
I'm not sure this has anything to do with an arranged marriage. She can't even legally marry in Canada yet.

Kuci is quite capable of deciding for himself what to post about.

We'll agree to disagree on the matter.

What an islamophobic thing to report. No wonder that Muslims feel they need to take action.

I think Winston is trying to make a political statement about PCness, but the astounding stupidity of the comment is distracting me.

                • This is a serious problem in Israel, especially when you have whole clans of people who support such murders and provide cover to the murderers, sometimes out of fear, sometimes out of respect for tradition.

Only earlier this week a trial had a major breakthrough when some girl testified against her brother and uncle (or something) accusing them of murdering her sister over an 'honor' issue.

Another girl was accused as an uncooperative witness after she denied, in testimony before the court, things that she put in a written statement earlier.

maybe you should post a disclaimer in the OP of each thread, explaining which people you are interested seeing post, and what should they say

                      I thought that was obvious.

                      • I have never heard much about honor killings being a significant problem in Indonesia, aka, worlds most populous Muslim country, or in the Southern Phillipinnes. This would tell me it's not a Muslim issue, but an older Tribal issue (wand sadly these remain very strong in Arab countries, Afghanistan, and Pakistan).

Oh thank God that Canada has not sunk to allowing people to marry corpses yet. That's definitely a comfort.
