              Vegas attracts a fair share of women with less rigid mindsets. The hookers hate to see 'em because free competition affects their living. (Illegal living in Vegas itself, but that's true almost everywhere in America.)

                Prostitution is illegal in Vegas?

                I thought it was illegal everywhere but Vegas...

                Edit: Did some research - I stand corrected. Legal in Nevada, illegal in Las Vegas. Who'da thunkit?


                Edit2: Did some more research. Nevada does not have a state income tax. :surprised:

                    There are lots of (illegal) working girls in Vegas though they seem to be having a tough time in this economy. I was there about three weeks back and got propositioned when I left the poker pit to smoke a cigarette (you can't smoke in the poker pit) while the same girl propositioned my married friend as he was walking into the men's room. It seems like rule is the hookers are allowed to prowl around the casinos but they can only hit up guys who aren't actually gambling; I'd guess they bribe the security guys to get in or something because the chick dealing poker told me everyone working at the casinos knows who the hookers are.

                      which one did you go to?

                      Most of the "tourist" casinos turn a blind eye. But they will boot hookers out if they are too obvious. My place would never allow them in, but I'm not in a tourist casino.

                      Not once have I ever been propositioned by a hooker. I guess I don't look like a guy who needs sex.
