I still think kuciwalker is wil wheaton in my head.

regardless, has Vancouver turned into a japanese colony? There is nothing Canadian about these designs and the portamento of animal types is stupid.

that said, at least they arent the hitler logo for london.

I especially like 'Hidy and Howdy', the mascots of the Calgary 1988 Winter Olympics.
this is true. by olympic mascot standards these are better than almost all of the others.

the demented elephant man ziggies of athens?
      the beaver of montreal?
the apollo creed eagle of los angeles?
the dumb anthropomorphic animals of the outback?
      atlanta's deconstructed exclamation point?
      the aryan nation of lillehammer?
      the proto wizrobe of innsbruck?
      turins retarded cingular symbols?

Thank you. Makes me think of the winter olympics in Sapporo.

You disagree with their decision to have a dope fiend as a mascot?

VANCOUVER - The move by Vancouver Olympic organizers to go with three mythical creatures for mascots may be a mistake according to one marketing expert.

According to Lindsay Meredith, mascots Sumi, Quatchi and Miga are Pokemon modern. The Simon Fraser University marketing professor says it's difficult to sell something that needs explaining.

He says the sea bear, sasquatch and spirit animal all need explaining.

He points out a sasquatch is known in B.C. and Washington State, but few others in North America know that big foot and sasquatch are the same.

However Meredith notes Olympic rings on a product always help something sell.

Reminds me of the official mascot for the Worldcup 2006 in germany.
Goleo, a Lion with a talking football.

But obviously it didn´t suit the tastes of the masses, the company producing Goleo went bankrupt because too few Goleos were sold before the worldcup and Goleo itself was criticised by other designers.
Must have been the reason, why Goleo didn´t appear very often during the worldcup itself and even in germany most people associate the worldcup rather with the talking football (that normally appeared without Goleo) than with Goleo
(although Goleo is still named the official mascot of the worldcup)

So they were upset because lions in Germany = unrealistic

But they though it would be better if the lion were wearing more clothes...

He really should be wearing pants though -- that's a bit of an unsightly bulge
The undeserving maintain power by promoting hysteria.

It's so typical of you to always have sperm on the mind.
