While I understand the point it is one of those "goes without saying" sort of things. Intelligence and education will tend to skew to a larger income. Intelligent, educated and unemployed will not get you too far with a sucessful woman.
If we keep going down this road we will reach a point where we need to define rich vs poor, successful vs unsuccessful, etc.
I don't think we need to do that at all. But I do think that to ASSUME that a woman lawyer is with a male lawyer for financial security is well ridiculous. They went to school together when a lot of hook-ups happen. Obviously similar education often equates to similar incomes.
Does the professional woman want to take PRIDE in her man's job ? Sure .. . But the same goes for guys. The only big difference is that social norms are such that it is entirely acceptable for the woman to be a stay-at-home mom. Take a look out there-- How many doctor's wives work at Tim Horton's?
You don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "
As i said, with a successful woman it isn't about financial security. Social acceptance is what they are after.
And yes, there is a double standard in this regard.

Whats your problem LS? Everyone thinks wiggy is out of it, but for some reason, you stand up for him even though you understand my point perfectly and I know that you agree with it.
The single thing I mentionned was a troll. Wtf. Drop it already and come back to earth.
The point that I am trying to make in this thread is that MOST women look for security (the package I was talking about) in a long term relationship and MOST men look for a fun person to be with first and foremost. Can you at leats agree with that?

If he hasn't done it by 100 posts he's not likely to.
Carry on.

then we are in agreement all along. I thought we were
Except that I can't see the social acceptance w/o the money. As I said, educated, intelligent and unemployed just won't do it.
