Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

If you want to fight for that pick Ozzy I will listen to your appeal. Otherwise we will move your list picks up one position and add one of your alternates to the last spot.

np, that was one of the reasons for the alternates.

Out of curiosity, who was your #6 pick, since it's ineligible anyway?

There is no problem in revealing it as they are ineligible anyway and I doubt Ozzy would mind. An interesting pick from what I saw but not enough personal claim to fame.

One of the reasons she cited for stepping down from the bench was because of her ailing husband. He is one of the few people on my list I actually put thought into instead of just picking random old people or stealing people from the dead pool website. *sigh*Captain of Team Apolyton - ISDG 2012

It was an interesting pick to be sure. When I first saw the name I didn't have a clue who it was (you had another one of those on your list as well, although that name was probably more familiar to Americans).

Team Drogue has been submitted.
The Judges are scrutinizing the names. A decision is pending...
Thanks for playing Drogue and an interesting list. It looks like you put much more thought into it than me."I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow

The judges are wrestling with a decision on one of your picks Drogue.
Your list of 20 has been approved but your 1st alternate (21st pick) is causing us trouble. I don't want to reveal the reason as that may tip off others to the celeb in question, but I suspect you know why we pause on that one.
Can you PM me a supporting argument for this person?"I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow

Team Drogue has been approved.
Your 21st pick (1st alternate) was ruled ineligible under Rule 22 (n):
n) No person whose only claim to being a celebrity is being old may be chosen.
For those interested the pick was Henry Allingham.
The problem is that being old is not Mr. Allingham's only claim to fame as he also does public speaking. The deciding factor was that he did not begin public speaking until 2001 when he was already 105 years old. It would seem his age was probably a selling point as a public speaker. It was a very tough call but ultimately I think Rule 22 (n) was intended for this sort of pick.
As per the rules your remaining alternates will all move up one position. This ruling will only have an effect if one of your originally 20 don't make it to Jan 1st, otherwise Mr. Alligham wouldn't have been one of your final team anyway.
Thanks again for the team Drogue.

I should mention, if anyone wants to name their Team as Guynemer did with "Calamitous Intent", let me know and I will add this to their list."I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow
