Judging from the fact that the only answer to my post was a reply which completely missed the point apparently because it's reader was too angry to read my post throughoutly, the key vote group to pander in Republican primaries seems not to be "religious voters" or "conservative voters" but stupid people. People led by image instead of reality, of truthiness instead of truth. Yeah, I "just didn't get it" because I presumed that stupid people would actually bother to find out whether there was anything beyond the "smaller government" image of Fred Thompson and read his history.
