I'd prefer Gore to any of the Democrat big three (I'd prefer Dodd or Richardson to Gore, though). But it's way too late in the fundraising cycle for him to jump in. Plus, with his baggage, he'd actually be easier to beat than any serious Dem candidate except maybe Edwards.
So, no thanks.

It's beyond parody. Not only he's a guy who made a fortune and bought his wives by lobbying in Washington DC for over 20 years, he has also been lazy and dumb when in office, as anyone who starts browsing his congressional record can observe. Yet, FOX news calls him "the conservative candidate" and he uses correct accent in TV debates, so you as a conservative voter from south of course must vote for him!
What on earth is exactly pushing Thompson up in polling data below the Mason-Dixon line? He has been corrupt when it comes to pork. He's ultra-partisan. He's dumb. His record as a Senator has been miserable. He has no new or good ideas. Are you guys dumb enough to fall for his staged "down here I'm campaigning with a pick-up truck" photo opportunities just like you were dumb enough to fall for Bush's cowboy hat?
