This brings up another point. How can you throw someone out that's leaving?

As we walk, you stand in the doorway yelling, "That's right! You just keep walking! We didn't want you anyway! (sob)"
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Yet you come off as like you feel sorry for the guy. Attack the death penalty as a whole based on the merits instead of nitpicking every little detail in an attempt to draw sympathy for those put to death. People don't care when unfair things happen to people they feel deserve it. I would choose my battles better by focusing on the innocent on death row.

I want to say explicitly and clearly that this is(almost) exactly what I am saying. I don't want to be misquoted.

The court system in Texas is archaic, barbaric and EAGER to execute people. Texan judges go on the record constantly in favor of the death penalty. The populace at large seems supportive of this.

I think the death penalty is wrong, moraly and legally.

None the less, I can understand how some can support it.

It is however the ULTIMATE punishment and as such, should be treated with a degree of hesitation and respect. Courts should when they sentence someone to death, do so because there is "no other choice" and it is the last resort and provide numerous appeals as well.

Instead of a general attitude of hesitation in Texas, their courts and the people seem eager to kill, mocking changes in other parts of the country.

        This is, barbaric.

I feel sorry for everyone. There's something that Jesus said that means something to me. "Let he without sin cast the first stone."

There aren't any good and bad people. You can't make that judgement, cause you aren't an angel either.

I feel sorry for anyone who is going to die, which includes death row inmates.

Yet you are a communist, do the two halves of your brain fight all the time?

What do you call 19 years?

              You can't make that judgement
I sure as hell can, and do.

Maybe you should try to understand people as they are, and not how you want them to be.

I call it what the times Texas lives in and the Texas legislature pushed onto the courts. The courts still do not like it.

I am NOT a communist and I still do not prefer to kill people.

Texas has executed the retarded, they refuse to admit DNA evidence for cases which occured before the technology existed, they have executed numerous people who DNA evidence later showed, was innocent. Refusal to allow DNA evidence for old cases shows a zest for cruelty. A Texas court who refuses to admit DNA evidence on an old case has commited MURDER. In the exact moral meaning of the word, they are as guilty of commiting murder as I would be if I walked into the street and shot the first person I saw.

It is easy to be outraged when a court system shows a clear preference for murder and commits it on a regular basis.

Did you just ask someone to understand you?

                      ummmmm....

                      No.

That is very obviously not the case, and it is telling you have resorted to that form of nonreasoning to make such statements. Is that supposed to be an appeal to emotion or something?

                        Oh, boo****inghoo.

I've never been arrested for murder. Most people seem to be able to avoid being thought to be a murderer.

FYI Patroklos, Communists love killing people. Historically, they're #1 in this department worldwide.

Very good point and I even agree with you, but this is a subject for a different thread. We are talking about a guilty person who commited a terrible crime complaining about the way he will die. These are two different issues as far as I'm concerned, so please stop trying to confuse the two.
