I listened to him, and heard things that seemed to me reasonable and necessary to ask.

All well and good, if you really want to be on the same level as the rude guest. Hospitality has a distinguished history, in Islam, in Celtic culture, in African culture, in Asia... if the guest is obnoxious, that doesn't mean you have to reply in kind.

I'm not saying it was the hospitable thing to do, even in the US. We just don't hold hospitality in as high regard here.

Of course the mans speech was 'as expected'. A whole lot of BS and of course he didnt have the ''intellectual courage'' to answer the introducer's questions. His speech was a lot of propaganda.

I may be inclined to argue that some of his responses may have deserved applause (and I didn't hear much at all when he mentioned homosexuals don't exist in Iran... which was the most damaging to his reputation).
