Clearly it was cut by someone who had authority to cut the mic.

Just because you save lives and keep people safe does not give you the right to inflict pain on people and risk their life.

As I've already mentioned, people sometimes die from being tasered. It's unacceptable for police to shot people with tasers unless there is serious danger to someone. I think the situation has gotten out of control, and I blame Bush! No actually I blame people for not standing up.
Very few people die from being tasered. Maybe in a fraction of 1% of cases those with severe heart problems may die. However, infinitely more likely is that the deaths you are seeing are not the results of tasers themselves, but the drugs/condition suspects were in, independent of the taser.

"Clearly"? A person sitting next to the mic could have pulled a plug. I don't think it is so clear.

A handcuffed woman being electroshocked repeatedly by a police officer.

          edit: updated links.

The link only works when you cut and paste it.

              • Thanks, I had to edit my post. I put some links that work. I'm not sure why the CNN link didn't work properly.

Edited for lack of reading comprehension.

Too bad you didn't make this point your first one. It would have save a lot of typing mileage on our fingers. I don't have to agree with this, but it's a legitimate point that can be genuinely argued, unlike your claim of torture.

                      • "Torture" to me implies some sort of intent.

I would argue excessive force was used but I don't think torture was the intention.

                          • My opinion is that using a taser isn't simply just for submission purposes. It is also a threat, a non-judicial form of punishment and sometimes used for torturing people that the police deem sufficiently obnoxious.

Everything is "sometimes used for torturing people." Ever seen Hostel? Yikes.
