No, cutting taxes reduces revenue (in the short term, anyway - in the long-term things are less clear). It only creates (or enlarges) a deficit if you assume that spending remains constant or increases. If one cut taxes and also cut spending, one could have a net benifit to the budget. This never seems to happen, though... gotta love those "borrow and spend" Republicans.

Anyway, the "do not call" registry (nice one, Kuci) is probably the only "accomplishment" I give Bush credit for. His presidency has been a nearly unmitigated disaster fr this country.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

He's bent over when American soldiers have been held hostage by a foreign government pretty well.

He's also been a huge advocate for giving amnesty to criminals and a huge supporter of those that aid them.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

For the love of god, people, please stop quoting Kid. It defeats the ignore feature, and every time I read something as incredibly stupid as that I lose a couple IQ points.

And I'm not sure if Gonzales would have resigned if we still had a Republican Congress.
