Actually I'm pleasantly surprised at the amount of Americans that have also chosen Holy Grail/Life of Brian here - we usually consider Pythoneque humour above your heads.
    nothing is above my head.

actually never seen monty python until I was in the navy. It was just not something that was on our local television where I lived.

I had some navy buddies that liked that weird stuff. He also went to showings of Rocky Horror picture show. Now that is one movie I could never get into. I guess I expected a comedy. I'm just not into musicals.

          • Also, nobody has mentioned Murder By Death. I can't fit it into my top ten, but it is a wonderfully wry and sarcastic spoof of all the classic detective movies.

I had a friend in HS who LIVED for Monty Python. It was VERY popular in the day. And it seems to have made a comeback.

I remember liking a Fish called Wanda, but I cant remember a thing about it.

                      • Platoon

By not stretch of the imagination is that a comedy in any way shape or form. maybe you can argue it wsn't realistic, but the director served in vietnam. Some of it was overly dramatic, but that is Oliver Stone's style.

now a Stone film that might be considered a comedy is Natural Born Killers. But even that would be a stretch.

Not surprising really, given that his username is the name of the main character in the movie.

No Wallace and Grommit on the list? The Wrong Trousers is hilarious.

Hot Fuzz also excellent - funniest movie I have seen in a long time, by a long way.

                          Four Weddings?

Channel 4's list (UK biased) - this was a poll result I think.

                            • The difference between #45 out of 50 and didn't make top 50 may not be that significant.
