    from wikitravel:

"Magadan Oblast is impressively remote and it is definitely advisable to fly to Magadan, likely from Moscow or much closer Khabarovsk and Vladivostok.

There is no railroad connecting to Magadan Oblast and there is only one road, leading from the west, from Yakutsk. This road, however, is extremely long, remote, and poorly serviced. Moreover, there are (possibly legendary) reports of armed banditry along this road because of its extreme remoteness. "

No carriers, but the new pride of the danish navy:

The support vessels Absalon and Esbern Snare. State of the art navigation and weapon control computers. By far the largest vessels in any navy in Scandinavia, and capable of performing in a wide variety of missions, which is in keeping with the policies for the danish navy

European frigates do look pretty cool, unfortunetly the refuse to put weapons on them for some reason.

Did they send you to go lower the mast?

No, the mast doesn't need to be lowered. They did however, assign various hazardous tasks to me.

                          • Spec,

My comment was not that anyone was seeking the destruction of the US, but rather that Russia and China might team together to break the monopoly of influence that the US has on the world.

Oh, it's armed to the teeth, all right. The weapons are just not in plain sight. (Except for the guns, of course)
