China is pumping millions and millions of immigrants across the border to repopulate the areas left by dying and aging Russians.

In 50 years you will have over 2 billion Chinese desperate for land and resources bordering a skeleton Russia of around 80-100m people to defend all that land. Not to mention there will be ~30m illegal chinese immigrants in russia by then, if not more.

So keep patting yourselves on the back about discovering Antartica, losing 40 million people to the nazis, and getting decimated by the west in the cold war.

You know things are bad when Georgia is talking **** to them. They are not feared by anyone anymore, even their neighbors who look to the US, NATO, and EU for protection and prosperity rather than an aging dinosaur soon to be extinct. They are a joke on the world stage who is only worthwhile to us (the west) because they provide us resources, which they have no choice BUT to sell because if they don't, their economy will collapse yet again. That and nukes, which they will never use because it would mean the complete end of them as a people and nation.

But hey, atleast you'll have something to talk about while your nation crumbles around you and your population implodes on itself.
A very poor troll - just a summary of cliches.

    Whose DL are you?

Its a fact almost died of disease. Youre a Kasparov style historian if you say otherwise, you can repeat yourself as much as you like.

                  Bullsh!t.
YOU PUSHED YOURS natives to reservations, not we pushed ours. Our natives exist at the same lands they populated from the begining. We just build our cities and brought civilization where it never was.

Pardon, and on what land were those cities built? And did not ethnic Russians establish villages in Siberia as well? On what land?

We incorporated their elite into ours elite, as well as their entire people into our Russian civilization.

Whether they wanted it or not.

And btw, Siberia is all about Taiga and Tundra. No fancy California-like beaches here.

So, thats why there was no mass displacement there. Similarly there was no mass displacement in Canadas taiga and tundra, nor in US Alaska.

Nope. The American Indian nations now exist and try to maintain their culture and languge at small pieces of land where you pushed them. In Russia all national republics and autonomus regions - the subjects of Federation (these are equivalents of American States) exist at the same borders as before, are autonomus and has their native language as state language (in addition to Russian). That's why in Russia over a 20 national languages, iirc.
Can you name me a single State in USA, where American Indians have real power at legal level. I mean the State governed by American Indians, where they have a local constitution which says that State X is a national republic/autonomus region of tribe X and so all institutions (educational/governmental, etc) within the borders of State X works with two languages: the language of tribe X and the English language.

well first youre commingling the SSRs, and the internal repulics of the RSFSR, and the autonomous districts. The autonomous districts, unless Im greately mistaken, never, under the USSR had the self rule American states had. Ditto for the republics within Russia. They did later, perhaps, thanks to the eevil Yeltsin. The SSRS had more autonomy, but they were not groups at the level of the Siberian peoples or most native americans. They were states that were conquered.

As for official languages I wouldnt put to much weight on that. The USSR made Yiddish an official language of the byelorussian SSR, even as they crushed yiddish culture.

Sure. But in Russia tourism is not the only source of income for the ethnic minorities.

Nor is it the only source of income on reservations. And huge numbers of american indians dont live on reservations.

They are, and what is more importantly WERE accepted to every aspect of the social life. That's where the great exploreres like Bellingshausen come from - he belonged to an ethnic minorityand he made a brilliant career. And he is not just an exception, but otherwise.

The Baltic Germans were a traditional ruling minority over the ethnic balts, and the Russian ruling family was itself of german origin, as was much of the Russian ruling class. He wasnt an exception, but THEY were.

i accept that Russian Empire was not too gentle to Jews (there was a restriction for movement of Jews, they were no allowed to approach capital for too close), but compared to the rest of Europe where anti-semitism was in its full strengh at that time, Russia was a lesser evil.

Really now, Kasparov should get an award for history compared to this. Russia was the most antisemitic state in Europe (except, maybe, Romania) from the time of the polish partition (When it first got large numbers of Jews) to 1917. It had didnt just keep Jews from Moscow - it had rigid polcicy of keeping Jews in the Pale of settlement, it limited Jewish land ownership, and it made major efforts to gradually eliminate Jewish culture and national distinctiveness. From 1880 on there was a major campaign of increased restrictions and violence, designed to eliminate the Jews by conversion, emigration, or even death (though no large scale killing occurred a few hundred here and there was the limit)

Your people are smart, agile and flexible considering movement.

Many Jewish communities have been neither agile nor flexible. and heaven knows not all Jews are smart. Nevertheless millions of Jews fled Russia between 1880 and 1917, and not only for such desirable places as the US and Canada, or for the dream of Israel/Palestine, but for Britan, France, Germany, Austria, and even Alexandria Egypt, and Romania.

They don't stay for too long in a country were they treated badly.

There are numerous places where they did stay actually. They didnt leave spain, despite a century of persecution, till they were actually expelled. over a hundred thousand were still in Germany in September 1939, despite conditions worse even then Russia from 1880 - 1917.

So how can you explain that prior to 1917 MAJORITY of entire world's population of Jews lived in Russia?

They were annexed to Russia, conditons, while bad, werent absolutely horrible and sometimes looked like theyd improve till 1880. After 1880 millions left, while millions of others joined revolutionary movements.

Can you tell me why, with the sole exception of the Nez Perce, theres been no movement of an American Indian nation to other states, from the US?

                  • Wiki:

"The Itelmen, sometimes known as Kamchadal, are an ethnic group who are the original inhabitants living on the Kamchatka peninsula in Russia. The Itelmen language (ethnonym: Itelmen) is distantly related to Chukchi and Koryak, forming the Chukotko-Kamchatkan language family, but it is now virtually extinct, the vast majority of ethnic Itelmens being native speakers of Russian. A. P. Volodin has published a grammar of the Itelmen language.

Theirs was a substantial hunter-gatherer and fishing society with up to fifty thousand natives inhabiting the peninsula before they were decimated by the Cossacks in the eighteenth century.

So much intermarriage took place between the natives and the Cossacks that Kamchadal now refers to the majority mixed population, and the term Itelmens at some point became reserved for persisting speakers of the Itelmen language. By 1993, there were less than 100 elderly speakers of the language left, but some 2,400 people considered themselves ethnic Itelmen in the 1989 census. By 2002, this number had risen to 3,180, and there are attempts at reviving the language."

                      • BTW, serb, the whole republics and autonomous districts structure was established AFTER 1917, correct?

Under the tsars, whose rule you seem to prefer, only Finland, and at times Poland, had any autonomy.

Yet it was THAT state you call the motherland of 200 nationalities. The man who established the federal structure is the one who called tsarist russia the prisonhouse of the nationalities.
